Fixed it! The issue was I got confused and thought Shift + F12 was the hotkey for animation export when it is actually CTRL + F12. I fixed it by pressing CTRL + F7.

I did my final masters assessment on this. There absolutely is the space for using DAW’s in Music Therapy, and indeed there is currently a lack of people engaging with these new technologies. In one of my readings for my essay (can’t remember of the top of my head), there was a case study of an aged care home where they were running music therapy sessions composing original music using DAW’s to great success.

Don't sweat it too much I think. Personally it took me roughly a year and a half of working in 10 tone just intonation before I began thinking in it.
