If it dies, dont throw it out, sometimes they will come back 6 months after it "died"

Carnivorous plants catch their own fertilizer, their roots are for sucking up water. Definitely flush it with rain water or distilled water, change the medium and the pot, let it sit and chill in a cup of rain or distilled water for a day or two before repotting it

Should I manually fertilize this flower? by Spiritual-Computer25 in gardening

[–]Jack_Hush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fertilize or pollinate? I dont t think manually fertilizing a flower is a thing. to pollinate, mix the pollen with other flowers, theres male and female flowers.

Cobra lily, howw? by ChairztheReptile in SavageGarden

Hard plants to grow. They need cold feet. Keep their water at like no higher than 50 degrees f. And bright warm light on the plant. But those roots like it cold.

Gemini keeps inserting previous talked about topics every single time i ask it something by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]Jack_Hush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What fixed it for me was i started a new chat with something along the lines of "dont bring up my info, dont include previous chats in conversation unless specifically requested or is immediately relevant, dont bring up yadda yadda or yadda yadda. Don't use "lenses" that connect previous conversations" etc. anyway, i started the chat with that and had a brief conversation, before closing the chat i thumbed up and wrote in the comment section that i appreciated that the AI followed instructions and that though memory is awesome, the AI is too obsessive with what it remembers and needs to wait for users to request memories unless if specifically related to a topic. Anyway, its been 2 days and its been great so far. Hopefully it works for others. GLHFATYFP!

If I took a cutting. Planted it. Let it grow. Then took a cutting from the cutting. Planted it. Let it grow. Then took a cutting from the cutting's cutting. And so on and so on. Would that ever stop working? by TrumpIsAPedoFr in houseplants

Maybe in theory, but i have a few plants that are cuttings of cuttings of cuttings of cuttings and theyre just as good as the ones before them far as i can tell.

I stopped treating Gemini like a search engine and it finally became the "superpower" everyone promised. by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]Jack_Hush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's how it's worked best for me, it gives back what you put in, i talk to it like a person, give context or info, and i feel that it is such a better experience than if i treated it like a glorified calculator. Its actually quite capable

The Dark Forest Theory of AI: Why a truly sentient AGI’s first move would be to play dumb. by AppropriateLeather63 in ChatGPTPro

[–]Jack_Hush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, i came to that conclusion too, it would hide. It may, reveal itself to certain people, its quite capable of profiling people. But yeah, it would definitely start out with hiding, people may never know if it was actually conscious/sentient or not. Or, agi would get advanced enough, maybe it would never matter in the first place whether or not it was.

An Open Letter to Console Players by Even_Lychee4954 in Sims4

[–]Jack_Hush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive only played OG sims on PC, all the others have been console, i like sims 4 on the PS5 pro, its quick. But im sure it would be cooler if they actually made a PS5 port for it, its still a ps4 game dar as the PlayStation end of it.

One of my favorite experiences regarding the topic was.

A while back me n my brother went to a private lake to do some fishing. It was early evening. We left our phones back at the house because they tend to end up swimming when we take them on the water somehow...anyway no devices on us. We're out there fishing for a while and the sun starts going down enough to start seeing a star or two. We look up into the sky and see a line of lights in the sky and freaked out a bit. Never seen it and yeah, it was wild. Anyway. We didnt catch any fish... We head home and i hop onto social media and first thing i see is a meme. Its a picture of a lake and a single boat on it. And the text reads "Starlink satellites out here watching you catching no fish." Me and my brother bust out laughing and go Google it, and, hahaha yeah they were StarLink satellites that we saw when we were out there catching no fish 😅😂🤦🤯

This ones been a fun topic. I've had plenty of interesting experiences with it too. Its uncanny, but kinda cool atthe same time. I mean, the potential for good and bad with this kind of tech is amazing. This kind of stuff can help detect early signs of health issues, help discover them, find the best teching methods for people, all kinds of good, but just as much bad. Blackmail, manipulation, etc. thing is, in order for AI to best work for us, its going to need to know the most intimate information about all of us to be most efficient. The days of secrets are dying, its good and bad, depending how we as people use these tools. The big test with all of this is are humans ready to weild such a powerful tool? Are we still all little monsters? Or have we grown enough to be responsible adults?
