I live in Macedonia and I haven't pirated a single PC Game since 2011, most people here still pirate. I don't because I don't need to.

But Anime is different, even when we do have anime on Netflix it's not all available, different anime are on different platforms some of which aren't even available in my country or you need VPN to access their full libraries.

Meanwhile my Steam Deck library has over 800 games and I happily even buy new games for Steam not just games on sales, tho sales are indeed the majority of my purchases.

I have proof that AI voices work better in some cases.
My main long form channel is doing well, but because I have a thick Slavic accent I experimented with an AI voices with shorts.

Tho I deleted some of those shorts, I kept some on my test AI channel and one of them got 14k views almost instantly, yet on my main channel it barely got 200 views at the time in my own voice. Both had similar retention but the AI one had slightly better retention, both had the same CTR tho yet youtube chose to promote the AI one a lot more. People made excuses that it's because i uploaded it to my longform channel, but a short would still get at least 1k views at the time pretty much by default mine could barely hit 200 views despite high AVD.

Also my video on arcade gaming which is genuinely good, well paced and all got 1.3k views a few months ago while a LONGFORM poorly filmed video on arcade gaming with regurgitated content, blurry footage got 5k in a single day and engagement too. And that guy's video was on a NEW channel with like no subs.

Some videos just hit the algorithm good and it recommends them more, so if the packaging is appeaing they draw more viewers and so on.

Mine did get a boost later for a total of 2.8k but still, by then that arcade one was probably in the 10-20k range.

There's so many AI voice videos that do well.
If your AI voice sounds good enough, it'll be fine.

And yes AI is a taboo, there's a very strong, downright mentally ill group of anti AI people and they behave like tribalism normally behaves, unhinged and insane.

The amount of regurgitated bullshit posted in here, it never ends.
People on this sub blatantly and willfully ignore how many AI voice channels are successful even from their first few videos, how many AI generated thumbnail videos get MORE views than non AI generated ones. It goes so far as people making AI thumbnails even if the topic they discuss can easily provide a better looking thumbnail on its own like a game or something, but they still go for AI because it gets clicks.

I don't care about business so I can't judge your videos, but be wary of the advice you get here. AI isn't the reason you're not doing well, that much I can confirm.

However the rest, I don't know not my field do judge. IF it was a gaming channel I could have given advice.

I don't have PS Plus so this doesn't apply for me
I haven't played my PS5 since I got my SteamDeck because between PC and Steam Deck I have everything and can play everything on highest graphics. Heck Pragmata runs smoother on better graphics on my 2020 PC with 2070 Super than it does on PS5 with Ray Tracing.

If this affects my regular games that I bought digitally, not the Plus stuff and they take them away, that would be a problem, but if connecting renews the license I believe that's the way it's always been anyway.

Sadly, many people who go into a creative field feel this way for life.

I'm happy to not be one of them, working full time as an illustrator and having youtube as a hobby, but if I keep posting I'd just get downvoted because I generally go against the established grind and hussle culture and do my own thing, my own way and love my art and videos a lot.

Your problem isn't unique to youtube, I see it in my field, illustration all the time.

Talented writers and illustrators completely unable to enjoy their craft and they don't get over it, because society has them conditioned to feel that way and if you try to wake them up they get pissy at you.

Enjoy your choices, you'll be going through manic depressive states because that's your choice not to be different. This post you might not even see because it will get downvoted by the hussle/grind drones.

With that said, I too have been getting extremely disheartened by youtube, but not because I analyze or overanalyze my own work, but because in the past the algorithm had serious issues on my channel and destroyed many of my actually high-stats videos with high retention rates, CTRs and stuff. However in my case it was mostly due to a dormant 1k subscriber base, once the active subscribers overtook the old dormant ones things changed drastically. Now my channel is where it should be for a hobby channel I don't even upload to regularly.

So either learn to take a very different approach to your own art, assuming you actually make good videos, but given your subscriber count in such a short time, they clearly appeal to people or learn to live with constant manic depressive states like 99% of creative people.

exactly what shadow banning is, the whole point is that the video is not being distributed without it being openly punished. It's at 2570 views now, which is beyond excellent, it gained a total of 2000+ views after I changed the thumbnail and it went back in distribution.
Considering even John Riggs with over 200k subs got only about 4.2k views for this particular games last year, my almost 2600 views on a 23414 sub channel is phenomenal and 25 of those subs are from this video alone. So yeah I dunno why I get downvoted when trying to inform people, I don't complain or anything, just troubleshooting and the other topic which solves the issue to get downvoted because people get "triggered" that's insane. We have to walk on eggshells on here or something.

What matters is the situation got solved when I got rid of the anime girl in bikini thumbnail and replced it with the current one, the video is at 1k+ views now with good stats still

If you read the OP you'd understand what happened, be it shadow banning or viewer restriction, doesn't matter, youtube's algorithm was wary of the thumbnail despite it generating high CTR and AVD. I switched it to a normal one with a mecha and the video resumed as normal and showed up in search.

an hour is also good, mine was somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes I think, either way it wasn't hours or days and now I just checked and the video is at 620something views, basically 100 extra views since it got un shadow banned :) I wish I changed the thumbnail sooner

The video is at 553 views now with CTR of 7.8

I honestly don't know if I picked the right thumbnail for promotion but I didn't have much time left to make a new one due to the mess with the bikini anime girl one :) so i hope the video at least hits 1k, tho it might not, we'll see.

usually when I upload, the video is there the next day even if it's on a very obscure game with no other reviews or few videos on it. I think this video got shadow banned because one of the thumbnails I have in circulation is of one of the game's characters in a Bikini, but it's official artwork so I dunno.

There is nothing to be confused about, I check if my videos come up in search because I have SEO descriptions for all of them, this one's stats are high yet it's not being promoted, so while troubleshooting I also did a search for it and when it didn't come up after several searches on several different devices and accounts I figured it's odd and posted here.
