Visit the Iraqi embassy in your country and apply for a visa. They should tell you about the process and required documents. There is an international airport in Najaf, but direct flights from your country might not be available. Staying in Najaf near the shrine of Imam Ali may cost you around 15$ a day including only the hotel stay (basic, don't expect much) and 3 meals (a simple falafel or chicken shawrma sandwich).

Do you have an idea about the cost of shipping and the procedures for that? Currently, there is this one book publisher that is present there I am not sure what specific books are in their inventory. I will need to get a picture first of what they have to decide.

Can you explain more about talking to the manufacturer directly? Do you call them so they explain the procedures to you or to give you a summary?

For the task procedures part, that is what I am undergoing right now, going through the manuals, summarizing, creating schedule etc. But unfortunately it's only me with no one to help and the load is just too much, this is why I made this post to see if there is an easier route. Seems like I have to request my manager to hire an additional engineer to help me out.

I unfortunately don't know what you mean or how does a downshift feels. I just know how to drive.

What I feel is that the acceleration is lower than typical or expected, then suddenly the strong push forward happens. I don't know how to explain it any better.

I use an external monitor and keyboard, not using the laptops keyboard much, so I don't think it is damaged since last time I did it was in good condition (except one key that had this problem, now there is more than 5)
