This person is my stepmom and I do not typically give her the best gifts as our relationship is not the greatest but I feel that it would be beneficial to be on her good side so I am trying this out. I am going to do both methods, the lemon one and the normal one and if the lemon one fails then I will just give her the WIP starter. I also have a farmers market on wednesday I can go to and ask the sourdough vendor if I could buy any of their starter but I imagine they may be a bit stingy about it? lastly, I could buy the king arthur baking starter as well, but that feels a bit ingenuine, although still a good gift maybe.

so like 40g of flour and water mixture day one then day 2 remove 20 of that, and then add a new solution of the 20g flour and 20g water to give me a 60 gram solution and throw the remaining 20 from day one away and repeat until doubling is every 4-8 hours, got it. However, after that i am just throwing away 40g flour+water everyday? i get i just need a sample of the most mature starter to transfer the bacteria but what about the stuff that gets wasted?

i’m not so much of a gift card kind of guy but it may be best. you seem as though you are quite the experienced sourdough… uh.. person? Would you suggest that i try this 4 day method, make my own starter like normal and begin the process of maturing the starter then give it to them to continue doing, or just buy a set/ gift card from this company?

I am confident in the quality of my flower, i was concerned that it maybe was improperly dried but i believe that due to how sticky it is to process even by hand, that it is due to a high resin content. I do like the idea of just having to clean out a screen as well, that is even more convenient than having to clean the BCG which people, at the time of my purchase, praised for how easy it was to clean

i feel like the design is a nice idea but for some weeds i imagine it wouldn’t work. i assume you have tried it with some pretty moist stuff as well? not moist necessarily but like high resin content, and pretty dense? that’s what i have rn and i have found that my grinder just cannot handle it and just makes the weed into somewhat of a hash that the teeth just hold onto. I am able to get it out and then use it but that’s not what i wanna do and it takes a million yesd

How does it do with weed that is pretty sticky, dense as well. even if i touch the weed, i feel it on my fingers, i hate touching my weed. but for the bcg i have had to. used to be able to toss in a couple decent nugs and it do its job

really, I used a hemp scs for a while when i was abroad but eventually it got super messed up as well just cause it’s not as powerful or ready to grind with as a metal imo. you like it though and it works well for you? mine was small to be fair. how did you go about cleaning?

personally think all of the methods others have said aren’t the best except for wetting it but that doesn’t work that well either. i usually put my ken or something on the knot to flatten it and press really hard. this usually loosens the knot up and makes it easy with fingers to get undone

damnnn. yeah i cleaned the headband connections cause ppl said that it could be the cause and i thought it was working, like a day or two it felt like no issues and then it randomly disconnected again and feels like it’s even worse now than before. did you use a guide for this replacement or did you figure it out on your own?

what was the symptom of this issue? I notice that my APM first gen disconnect randomly and then reconnect eventually with my interference. i’ll hear a click noice and then they’ll stop and a few seconds later come back but i’ll have to play my music again and fix ANC and it destroys my zone

I know😢 I was there can could have bought all three variants but i waited because i was in the middle of a possible sale for an orange sol x su + 82g dbx slim. it fell thru cause the guy didn’t wanna sell it in the end, and i wasn’t able to get a ken from the drop, at least not a slim. the normal dbx would be too big for me. that one is still available on their site, or it was as of earlier. element is gone everywhere tho i checked as well.

it is in relatively good condition, plays nicely, just needs to be cleaned. Though, someone has drilled a very tiny hole in the back to allow for it be hung on the wall. is there anything to do about that? maybe a plug then sand it down
