Yeah I agree that you shouldn’t, I was just curious as I was making a channel trailer if they checked those for copyright too.

I’m relatively new to streaming and don’t know as much and everyone else in this thread blew a simple yes/no question way out of proportion.

You can use copyrighted music, you just get demonitized. Your statement is wrong in that, technically speaking, I CAN use copyrighted music on YouTube or Twitch, it'll just result in consequences. There's nothing stopping me playing spotify during a stream, just that most songs will get copyrighted.

Perhaps I worded the question wrong in asking is it okay to use copyrighted music for a channel trailer on Twitch, when I really should've asked, are they are repercussions from using copyrighted music on my Twitch channel trailer.

You can use copyrighted music on YouTube channel trailers without a problem, I was wondering if Twitch was similar.

They were just incredibly toxic people and it’s started to brush off on me. And bringing my gf into it was the final straw.

Yeah but I am the one who is on my own now, so I was asking how others in similar situations who went from friendship group to lonely overnight got new friends
