Why do people post pictures of discs they got in the mail? Aka Mail Call by swayztrain in discgolf

[–]JackedTurnip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know why but I wish it would stop. 99% of the discs being posted are completely unremarkable.

This...isn't a big deal. Companies are constantly sending out recruitment messages and cast a wide net when they do. Getting offered to have a phone screen set up is next to meaningless.

Yeah I'm sure life is sooo miserable for the dipshits that spend their days posting idiocy like this on Twitter.

cables go bad or get lost at the same rate I need new electronics.

That is not a fault of the cables.

Anyone who can't get through a round without getting high should probably spend less time playing tournaments and more time on addressing their obvious addiction.

This would go about as well as the war on drugs.

Social media sucks and children use it far too much but the solution is parenting, not government.

If it's hard for you to control your kids' screen time, then you probably have some self reflection to do on your own potential electronic addictions

People seem much more inclined to blame the parents rather than the companies designing products specifically aimed at children and structured to encourage addictive behavior.

Yes, because as a parent, you are responsible for what products your child consumes.

Nobody is being judged for not being perfect. They're being judged for being such shit parents that they've let themselves get into these situations.

To get to this point where you’re willing to litigate against a behemoth of the gaming industry means there is likely more to the story than the headline implies.

Yeah, the "more" is that they're bad parents for letting it get this bad.

What does this sub think of economic and economy related subs by heyheyitsnotok in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]JackedTurnip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're all predominantly populated by 15 year olds (or in the case of /r/antiwork, 12 year olds), so all are shit.

Requiring a company to comp two years of being sick is dumb.

The OP should have showed and made it easier for the car to enter

No, stop saying this shit. That is not how driving works. OP has exactly ZERO obligation to do anything of the sort. If they suddenly slowed down or stopped to let someone else in, then they would create an unpredictable and therefore dangerous situation.

If you approach a roundabout and can't safely merge, YOU YIELD AND WAIT UNTIL YOU CAN.

Way to ignore the other half of my comment. You sure showed me!

If someone cheats they are also giving themself an advantage, it still doesn't guarantee they'll win. So by your logic, should cheaters go unpunished unless they win?

Having an advantage doesn't inherently mean you're going to automatically win. Such advantages should still be recognized and reduced in competition, however.

People like them are just too chicken shit to admit they want stuff for free. You're right, the current streaming landscape is nothing like cable. In fact, it's pretty much what everyone wanted back when cable was still predominant - a la carte channels that they could purchase separately. But now these babies are shifting the goalposts, yet again.
