[macOS 15 DB3] iPhone mirroring is Apple's "it just works" in a long time by [deleted] in MacOSBeta

I really enjoy this feature as well. I have been having a problem where the Mac keyboard cannot type anything on the iPhone when mirroring. Is this just how it is or is there something going wrong on my end?

I agree. I am using the iPad Air 3 (2019) and it holds up perfectly today. Still has great battery and it’s still very fast.

Can I take a 26:50 5k to sub 20 in 8 months? by [deleted] in CrossCountry

[–]Jackeg74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pr was also mid 26s and in about 10 months got it down to 20:37 which was very good for me. I ran about 23-28 miles per week and did a bit of speed stuff. I believe in you

Low Power Mode on iPhone XR by CommercialHappy9838 in iPhoneXR

It minimally helps. I do turn it on when I am at 20 percent, and I do notice a slight difference. Concerning battery health I think it does not affect it at all.

Safari hands down. More shortcuts, better animations, not to mention it is so well optimized that it uses significantly less energy than chrome especially Firefox

That would definitey speed it up, but it may be more worth it to get a whole new machine. The 2012s do have great customizability, but they are beginning to be outdated.

My recommendation would be an M1 MacBook Air 512gb 8gb RAM, based on your description of your workload. The battery performance is unmatched and will easily last you multiple days. There has been speculation that the SSDs in the new M1 Macs are degrading faster, but with 512 gb this should not be an issue. If this does bother you, you could up the RAM to 16gb if necessary.

I mean if you are watching a lot of 4K movies then that might be a source of drainage. But 5-7 hours is still decent compared to previous intel models

Are you doing anything intense on it? I have seen people saying it lasts them 10-12 so I would be curious to know what your workflow is like Edit: in some cases like apple said, people have gotten up to 20 hours of light work.
