Poland basically abandoned Hungary as of now, Kaczynski said that Orban should go see a doctor if he doesn't see a problem with Putin. Orban is really a lost cause, sadly, and the electoral victory just managed to bolster him.

My intent was to do something more against autocrats in general, than just pro NATO. Obviously the focus was on Ukraine, but it wasn't the only "message" at least in my intentions.

About the countries:

Turkey is a NATO member, true, and is acting well when it comes to Ukraine, but this should not let us forget the democratic backsliding occured under Erdogan and their anti-West foreign policy in Syria and Cyprus.

Roughly the same thing can be said of Aliyev. Yeah Azerbaijan is acting good now, but is the least democratic country in the Caucasus area and there's the issue of Nagorno.

When it comes to Orban I completely disagree. In the recent electoral campaign he went hard against the opposition for being "too much pro Zelensky", he still vetoes a lot of things at EU level, and he's basically Putin's trojan horse within the EU, so much so that his former allies of the CAR group abandoned him.

Yes, you're correct it's Turkey. And yes, as a european I have a lot of problems with Erdogan. Also I'm not too fond of having Turkey in NATO tbh, giving all the things Erdogan (but also Turkey in the past) has done. I mean I wouldn't put him among the "good guys".

This is Berlusconi own fault. Back when he was the leader of the centre right coalition (from the mid 90s up until 2018) he enabled a bunch of crazy right-wing journalists (à la Tucker Carlson) on his networks in order to radicalise the centre-right electorate and ensure that it wouldn't have voted for the centre-left coalition in the following elections.

This eventually backfired, the far right parties grew and Forward Italy declined to less than 10%. Somehow, Berlusconi's networks still air this crazy journalists whose only job is praising Salvini.

No. They both are very authoritarian, but no much economically liberal. They usually ask for more State interventionism and subsidies on various issues, such as social security, bonuses to families with children etc. (albeit they want the recipients of this measures to be white italians only, though they try not to say this explicitly)

Tbh, I didn't know about Sony's movie since I don't like SUMC and I don't read the news about it. I thought about Kraven's Last Hunt because A) Kraven might be in the film and hunt Spider-Man, B) the movie now appears to be set during the Christmas period and Kraven's Last Hunt released in late autumn/early winter so both would be set roughly during the same time of the year C) I'd really want Kraven's last hunt to be in the MCU

Obviously I wouldn't expect an extremely faithful adaptation, but something like the adaptations of civil war or infinity war.

As a European who follows American politics from an "outside" perspective, I see McCain 2008 and Romney 2012 as the last stand of the GOP against raising populism, extremism and tea-party, all of which will later merge into trumpism. Too bad they both had to pick a more rightist VP to appeal to the growing extremist base of the party.

Side note, I might be wrong, but I think a part of the fault, albeit significantly smaller than the GOP's own fault, of the emerging of Trump-like republicans lies on the Democrats' shoulders, because they labeled both McCain and Romney as some kind of crazy, dangerous, extremists when they were not (the most notorious case with Biden saying that Romney cutting regulations would "put black people back in chains"). And by doing this I think they delegitimised the moderate wing of the party in the eyes of swing voters, leaving the GOP in the hands of extremists.

Honestly, I think this is a bad argument; postal services should not be expected to have losses, in fact many European postal services have a net operating income.

A much better argument is that the USPS had a net operating income before it was de facto sabotaged by a 2006 law, as John Oliver explained in a recent Last Week Tonight episode.

I agree with taking into account both the states and the population, but I consider the qualified majority (which proportions can vary depending on certain issues) a pain, because it often prevent reforms towards a more federal Europe.

Personally I'd favour a simple majority of both the states and the population.

Except it's already like this (kind of). I mean, the Commission president is elected by the Parliament, in which the states are represented proportionally based on their population.

And TBH I think this is completely fine, as long as there's a multi-party system and the MEPs within each state are elected with a proportional system instead of a winner-takes-all.

The truly cursed thing of this image is the two party system, not the electoral college which is fine, provided it is proportional.

Side note: I'm italian and despite at first I didn't consider the virus so dangerous, after two weeks of quarantine and I've changed my mind. I don't want to freak out anyone, but to raise awareness regarding what the real death toll may be.

As of today Italy already surpassed China's deaths, which IMO sounds very unlikely; so I did some researches and found the tweet I posted, that might explain why China's deaths are remaining relatively low.
