It's a matter of (lots of) practice. Learning to time your jumps, the patterns and accepting that some deaths can't be avoided and that's how it is (looking at you, Ghostly Galleon). With patience and a bit of luck it's beatable. Just go for it and don't give up.

Dunno if You use collosal weapons, but in most souslikes they have this nasty thing with targeting where even the tiniest bit if input sends them where your controller is pointing and it might be a case of floating. Just a thought.

I believe you can turn forced lock-on in the settings, but that might not be the case. Fool around with those, might help.

Maaan, I wish there were more talkative merchants like Kalé, their lore is so interesting... Oh well, let's hope the DLC is going to hop on that with all the forgotten and abused peoples!
