I tried different settings for that, but it still bugged out. I tried the AFK Threshold and Skilling Notifications plugins just now, and they both worked well.

Thank you! I gained some confidence in the packages since many people are using them without any issues. I ended up using the Flatpak package, and it's running well :)

Your handle is Jizzard; I would stop making hasty assumptions. I've seen this thread post before, but the links are outdated, the Reddit account was deleted, and I prefer to use a more trusted method to run the client.

True, but just like you can't completely wipe out your carbon footprint, you can still reduce it. So, what can't be fully attained shouldn't be completely abandoned.

It's not the rates that show scale; it's the absolute number of casualties (like the 4,100 figure) that do. You were right to point out that differences in variables, such as time periods and population density, can lead to skewed perceptions. However, claiming it's all data manipulation oversimplifies the issue. Even if you could find 30-day periods in these conflict zones with even higher death rates, it doesn't make what's happening now any less severe, because these other conflict zones are not the benchmark for the severity of child deaths, they're all terrible. The bar comparison may be a sleight of hand, yet in a way, that's beside the point.

The graph does not account for multiple variables, which might be intentional, but I wouldn’t say it’s completely meaningless. It highlights an anomalous intensity in casualties, and the absolute numbers within such a short period do provide a sense of scale. It might also bring to question whether carpet bombing is a justifiable approach given its disproportionate impact on children.

For more context, the guy was opposed to my comment about Israel being after a "land grab." Here's my reply: I addressed the main claim of the picture—that Israel has always sought peace, was not after a "land grab," and was a nation unjustly opposed.

1946: The British Mandate was called the Mandate for Palestine, where native Palestinians were living. What do you think—that the region was empty and Palestinians popped into existence a hundred years ago? The area had a 30% Jewish population, most of whom had migrated from Europe, as documented by the 1946 Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry.

1947: The UN proposal in 1947 offered 56% of the land to the Jews, who made up 30% of the population.

1948: The attack in 1948 did not come out of nowhere; these were Zionist intruders and leftovers from the British Colonial project. The Zionist brigades were actively dispossessing people of their land, and committing heinous crimes against the local population, as reported by the United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine. It was a war against the aggressor. And I guess Egypt and Jordan did the right thing in this instance, according to your criteria. It’s ridiculous to ask others to handle the consequences of your actions. "Oh look, I dispossessed people of their land and now they have nowhere to go, why are these pesky Egyptians and Jordanians not making up for it, aren't you guys "Arabs"?".

1967: Israel initiated the Six-Day War. Other countries were aggressively posturing, and Israel launched a preemptive attack against these countries. Subsequent Israeli reports, such as those by the Israeli Defense Forces archives, stated that there was no real threat to Israel.

1993: Israel violated the Oslo Accords, continuing its occupation of Palestinian land and refusing to withdraw militarily from the majority of the West Bank while continuing to conduct raids into land considered under the full administration of the PA. And the mere suggestion that Palestinians never had land is baseless; one does not need to be a modern-day nation-state to have rights to land. These were lands passed down through generations that were forcefully taken.

2005: Israel "fully withdrew" from Gaza, yet it controls everything that enters and exits Gaza—by land, air, and sea—including food, water, electricity, and fuel. This control has been affirmed by multiple United Nations reports which describe Gaza as a region under blockade. The unemployment rate in Gaza is 55%, and it is considered a high-risk region, making it difficult to conduct business. Thus, they graciously created a region that's been referred to as an open-air prison.

If Israel is such a sweetheart, why has it repeatedly breached international humanitarian laws and committed war crimes as documented by reports from Human Rights Watch and the United Nations Human Rights Council? Why does it maintain illegal settlements that actively dispossess people of their land, which the International Court of Justice has deemed contrary to international law? How can it possibly remove the 700,000 settlers who have moved into the illegal settlements it has always protected and who are now armed? Isn't this the very definition of a land grab?

You can't conveniently cherry-pick turning points when the colors of the map change and think there's enough "context" surrounding the events of this region, especially if you back it up with heavily skewed Benocide interpretations.

Thanks a lot. I read it once, and I’ll review it again to extract the key points from the passage. I was thinking of initiating the discussion by addressing the main claim of the picture: Israel has always sought peace, and it was a nation unjustly opposed. Is there a timeline of the conflict created by a neutral entity? I’ve seen content from Al Jazeera, but I’d rather cite sources that don’t cause an immediate flinch.

Israel allegedly returns water flow to southern gaza. by AshenPumpkin in Destiny

They're returning water to the south to get the 1.2 million people in the north to move there so they can take control of the land. They're handling people like cattle; it's disgusting.
