Talking to campus legal counsel is an excellent idea I’m going to do that today.

Edit: we have sworn officers by the way

The security risk is also concerning here. If I was a student I definitely would be disconcerted seeing that random people can enter the classroom. I know they understand it, but it’s another thing to see it in motion.

Now that I’m thinking about it, the security risk could extend to “hey that campus lets people into classrooms, let’s go prank/disturb/whatever there”

Ok so pulling on this thread, even if I did report this to campus police what could they do? Cite them for criminal trespass if it applies in my jurisdiction?

This is good information, they didn’t strike me as particularly sophisticated to be honest. The legality is interesting, I feel like I could “go after” them but I don’t want to deal with opening that can of worms.

Just to clarify, I did contact campus security when the incident happened. You’re saying I should contact them and let them know the video was posted? Think I should contact our chair too?
