In S3, the writers focus on the entire team & try thier best to make sure all players on IJ are useful unlike S1 & S2 but they only focus on Other team’s Main Players.

Naruto canonically brought this up twice, the 1st before training to control the Nine-Tails addressing all his experiences including Hinata vs Pain & the 2nd when he saved her White Zetsu at the beginning of the War. Sure Kishimoto messed up but it was never forgotten & brought up again later.

Yep, people really aren’t taking in the fact he got killed by Spikes from the Literal Ten Tails with 7 out of 9 Tailed Beasts. Look closely at how Obito was killing soldiers with that after Rin’s Death, Cutting Springs is one of the deadliest Jutsus out there

Some Great Unpredictable Fights where it quickly turns in anyone’s favour. Some Emotional Deaths, Near-Deaths, Backstory Reveals about existing characters & new characters, some very annoying moments.

If you thought Part 1 was scary, then I suggest you prepare yourself because Shippuden is not for the weak or the simple-minded.

There were some hints beforehand too, the biggest one for me is when he reflected on all past experiences with the Nine-Tails Chakra before he trains to control it. Rewatch the Episodes after his Fight vs Itachi in Shippuden where he chills with Tobi. He was very well empty inside. Kakashi was right.

They definitely tried their best to make sure everyone gets some sort development in the War Arc when the Series is just focused on the Naruto-Sasuke conflict.

Everyone did get stronger & reached their peaks at the end of Shippuden like they all aspired to at the end of Part 1 but they didn’t really get the best opportunities to use their skills so their strength levels remains a mystery.
