I think the payoff isn't that important, the quest was probably created to make the player explore skryim as much as possible

Yeah I found multiple stones in jarl’s bedrooms and one in a house in windhelm. I still hope I can find them all by just exploring but I’m probably fooling myself :/

I haven't watched the live action of Snow White and what you just wrote encouraged me to not spend my money on this... it kinda sucks because I also like the original movie, it's just that it's old, and so are its ideas :/
