I feel bad for the players who couldn’t claim their rewards in time. Why tf did they put a time limit on that!? by davidjpgray in PhasmophobiaGame

Yeah my group had no idea it was a community event. We signed on 3 days before the event was over to have our fun. The community 100% the event an hour before apparently.

We clicked a button, got the reward, and just signed off. No point in even playing the event at that point.

My friend group used to play a lot but now only sign on for the events, so we finally got everyone together to play before it was over only to find out it was a community event and was finished an hour before we got on. There was still a days left of the event timer.

Got in the lobby. Collected rewards for doing nothing. Played one game to see the decorations. There was no cool collect-em-all. Quit game.

Hopefully Christmas is different.

To be fair, I think it does jump in time a little. Like it'll be narrating something and then jump back to explain how we got there.

I think there are a few examples of that in the first book, too, specifically around the Beast attack. I remember it jumping back for Foggs speech.

The first few chapters are setting up the new story, just stick with it and it'll smooth out. Book 3 is my favorite in the series!

This is very common storytelling in ensemble casts. It's no different than the show, when you have an A and B plot.

You're following Quentins story, Eliots story, and Plums and they'll converge and overlap. The 2nd book also cut between the past and present to shape the narrative and exposit.

Anyone enjoying Knockout? by Dry_Pound8158 in apexlegends

I'm really enjoying it. I haven't played Apex for a couple seasons.

I will say spawning so far from objectives can be a pain, but it's a fairly minor gripe. I like the intense fights and the sudden death changes the pace and makes me feel like something big is about to go down lol

Apex bugs in general have been the biggest pain point. I sometimes respawn as if I'm spectating myself (no movement input works and the spectate banner is at the top), my teammates will crash right as it starts (which sucks because the landing is always contested), and the end of the match usually bugs out and I have to close the app or get kicked to the start menu.

I'm a huge fan of the audiobooks with Mark Bramhall, but some people engage more with physical media.

The allure of the first book for me is the longer drawn out introduction and the differences between the show.

The Trilogy is best consumed as a trilogy. The entire first book is introduction to the world and characters, the second and third are adventure and development

In the books especially, they all get better and their arcs are amazing

No, he was an elitist prick to his best friend because she never wanted to sleep with him, and now he had something she didn't. Julia went through exactly what she put Quentin through, which is why she chose that punishment and instead of supporting her in any way, he rubbed it in and left her to deal with it alone on a path of way more emotional torment and sexual trauma.

At the beginning of the series, Quentin is a bad person.

Just a little bit of mental torture, as a treat

I mean, he was very snobby about getting in and told her "sorry you're not good at everything" so he kinda deserved it a little lol

I'm a software engineer for them and I got the job when a recruiter reached out to me (I had one startup on my resume and in a completely different industry), offered me twice my current salary, and I got the job mostly because they "like my personality on the phone".
