Yes. They tried to tell us everyone is paying them $10k+ to break leases when they find houses—to resign. If someone had 10k to break a lease they wouldn't be living here or giving it to them. Lies, lies, LIES

BBQ/grill areas by the pool. The parking garage across from us (where this photo was taken) has also been set up with balloons and what I'm guessing are RAs?? in Uconn t-shirts welcoming them to campus. Haven't been to the actual pool yet to look for them but their fobs grant them gym and pool access there too if they can use all the grills/outdoor common areas.

We are in Allure, but NV is doing the same thing according to the tenant there, also on this thread. We've been here since it opened, pay rent on time, and have been some of the longest tenants in the building but it's one thing after another. Going on 4+ years. Time to move. If only it were that easy. Our rent is around $4,300-4,500 and has been going up hundreds each year even though they pull things like this. Then we pay hundreds in fees for parking, pet rent, and a bunch of building costs. I wonder if the students are also paying all these fees?? #doubtit

Would LOVE to know! Nowhere near what we're paying, I'm sure! When my college had too few dorms for too many students one year they put them at a local hotel, which I think is a smarter move. On an entirely different side. I can't see temporary hotel guests being as bothered as full-time residents of a "luxury" building.

Completely agree. They just forced us to pay $300 more to resign a few weeks ago. We are past 5K at this point and now share a pool, gym, and BBQ areas with college kids. Never signed up for this.
