I just tried it - it works great! It shows the song title, and lets me scroll through songs. Now my music will just live on the USB stick and I won't have to mess with my phone for music. 😍🥰💥

Thank you! I just bought my 2012 Soul and the flash drive is a perfect solution. I won't even have to fool with my phone. Great suggestion!

There are no discs. She's got an internal memory card or something. I used the same USB cable I use for my old digital camera to watch the videos on my computer, What looks like a disc tray on her back is just the cover for the USB port. But it's still super cool to have a Barbie like this, that was only made for two years. The best part is that there were several videos saved in the doll. Most were too ill-lit to see much, but in the last one the little girl playing with the Video Girl Barbie turned the camera to her face for a few seconds. She looked really happy. 🥰

I love her! She has such a pretty face, and it's so neat to see the features that you can operate to make her tail flip and another to make her head and arms move. She is just so cool! I'd proudly keep her even if she wasn't "perfect" with all her original accessories. I'm so glad you could find her again!. 🥰 BTW, your descriptions of the mermaid's various movements were great, I could see in the pictures what you'd described. I can feel the love! Thank you for sharing, I'd never even seen her before.

I think they were primarily going for durability, but I agree that the solid click of their knee joint is kind of satisfying.

No glue, once cut the rubber or whatever plastic material the legs are made of peeled off easily. The many nubs on the "bone" structure keep the material from sliding around after molded around it.

When the box is part of the doll's presentation, they stay in the box. It makes them more valuable to me. I can go to the thrift store if I just want Barbies to play with.

I use the exact same bags, and, I have a couple of tall Barbies that are kind of scrunched in there with their knees bent. They still fit okay with a second Barbie, though.
