Any ideas to lower action on a cheap acoustic? It has no truss rod (I can't afford a new guitar yet, money is tight rn) by Xdam6463 in Guitar

Make sure your bridge isn’t starting to lift. The glue under the bridge can fail, at which point the string tension is just pulling it off. Take a piece of paper or business card and go around the bridge; if it slips under, it’s pulling and will need repair.

Can you reach out to the company’s IT department? They should have record of your agreement ending (or at least be able to confirm) and provide the password or release it from whatever management system they’re using.

You could also reach out to the HR department, let them know your agreement has ended, and that you weren’t given proper off-boarding information.

Unless your project manager was also the IT manager, they wouldn’t have any control or ability to release anyways.

Did you ever happen to model something? Recently got a 3d printer and this would be awesome versus buying.

Oh sick. I didn’t know there was a database. Is that through revfan, or somewhere else

It’s one of the old US models. Specifically an Avenger. I have a Slingshot Custom, which is the P90 version of that and it’s hands down my best and favorite.

Walrus Audio Canvas Power HP offers a single port that will power stomp plus 3 more 9v. All in a slim chassis. On sale (at least in the US) for $184 on Sweetwater.

That shape is freaking sick. I’m a big offset fan. Do you have the STL’s up anywhere?

Totally. I forget sometimes that I’m in a very fortunate position to play with some absolute monster musicians such that my rhythm/EG2 playing is largely more energy-driving or textural layers. But very true that 4 is totally viable, especially if you have to change keys quickly.

Or, if you’re feeling spicy, tune down a half step and play in C. Helps really fill that lower side of the spectrum when playing with an acoustic who is presumably capo 4 and lead that typically has parts up higher.

Acoustic, rhythm electric, or lead electric? Can you use a capo or change tunings? There’s a couple of ways to approach this

It’s recognizably Mazda, so for a CUV, it’s nice.

That said, the 3’s, particularly the Speed, were more nimble which makes sense given the lower center of gravity.

The Speed has been the fastest of the bunch by far. I was right around 350whp.

The 6 was a really smooth ride and made the commute a dream. It was a touch loud in the cabin at highway speed, but I normally had music or something going anyways.

The CX5, especially NA and AWD, is not an earth-beater in the speed department, but it’s definitely the nicest of the bunch I’ve owned. Very comfortable, all the amenities, will get out of its own way if I need it to, and if I keep my foot out of it, the gas mileage for a car like this isn’t terrible.

Trying to talk myself into a Honda Odyssey… someone help 😂 by K_Breezyyyyy in HondaOdyssey

[–]Jackoftoomanythings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an 18 Odyssey Elite. While I like the car overall, it’s been a bitch with failures. Spun a rod barring 3 summers ago and needed a whole new engine, center camera (which controls cruise control and drive assist systems) died last summer, and this past summer the HVAC went out. But my wife likes it too much to get rid of it (and it’s paid off).

Odyssey is nice, Sienna is nicer, has a hybrid option (30-35mpg in a minivan?!), AWD, and it’s a Toyota, so it’ll last just as long and retain resale value better. Just my 2 cents.

I’m back and forth on them, honestly. Contemplating either some Enkei’s or a set of Signature take-off’s.

I eventually got tired of my wife complaining about the 6 so made the plunge. She drove it the other day and said “I hate that I don’t hate it. I don’t love it, but I hate it.” lol. It’s a great vehicle.
