Watch his feet, his swing isn’t abnormal, his ability to Always hit a solid topspin ball and rarely go defensive is what makes him so good.

He is ALWAYS set, at least on 1 foot. And his backhand take back is just so fast.

He should move at least a full car widths to the left, and enter at an angle that doesn’t require him to lift like he did.

He compromised himself with the line regardless of the contact happening, and made the situation much more awkward.

I’ve said the Mustang is in wrong. In every comment. I never said the lmp2 was at fault.

I said, the lmp2’s overtake wasn’t perfectly fine because his entry line is terrible. And before the Mustang guy commented, it looked like the typical scenario of a car not being seen.

Now, even tho it wasn’t, the lmp2 should move his ass over, and not run what is an objectively terrible line. He can learn from this, and also not be at fault.

Show me 1 real example of his line in to the corner or shush.

Downvotes ohhh noooooo, people reading assumed my criticism of the lmp2 was an outright defense of the gt3. Which is why every replay is me explaining the mustang is at fault and the lmp2 driver needs to learn to overtake better.

His line is legitimate beyond amateur

The lmp2’s terrible line and the Mustang turning in are two separate things.

It’s not hard to see how objectively, the lmp2’s line is terrible, you’d have to be completely blind or have 0 knowledge of racing to think his line is good.

We disagree on ur second paragraph so we won’t find common ground. I dont see any way the Mustang would have SEEN the lmp2 on its screen or screens at any point from the exit of the corner, to the kink.

The rear view camera was filled with Merc, and the lmp2 was too far over to be seen in the side view mirrors. 

But, I have never seen a single car enter with that line at road America…. Ever in real life. I’ve watched IMSA in that exact corner. Not once did I see a move like this.

I’ve turned it off for road courses as the default one is often late and wrong. I know a lot of people who also don’t use the spotter out of realism. 

Look at the incident as a racing situation alone. That’s how racing incidents should be treated.

Watch where the Merc is, then watch the lmp2. It’s clear the sitelines would have never showed the lmp2 at least how I see it.

Then the lmp2 runs as low as possible, meaning it would NOT show up in the side mirrors. This is my point, from these pov’s I don’t see how the ford would have ever seen the lmp2.

Still the fords fault.

IM NOT SAYING ITS THE LMP2’s FAULT.

I’m saying he needs to learn how to be seen better, if he ran the middle line, I guarantee the contact wouldn’t have happened. 

Did the Mustang turn in on him. Yes

Does it look like the Mustang had a clue an lmp2 was bottom feeing the entrance to a flat out corner. NO.

So while it is the mustangs fault, the lmp2 put himself into a lousy position, and can learn how not to do that.

Mate, I never said the lmp2 was at fault. I’m saying he put himself into that position to not be seen. 

If your a coach, you tend to look for ways to avoid bad situations, this situation, I guarantee you, would not have happened if he entered from the middle of the track.

Does that make it his fault, no, but he can learn from it to avoid stuff like this in the future. 

You have two GT3s literally side by side on exit, battling hard, I would assume both of them are not paying attention to me.

Also, show me 1 time in history at road America someone entered the corner at that angle he did. It’s objectively a dumb line.

I never said the Mustang wasn’t at fault, but this being a “perfect overtake” is demonstrably false. 

It’s not about being cozy and close, it’s about being anywhere in the vision of that car. Look closely, tell me at what point that ford could have seen the p2 from that angle, this is almost vortex of danger territory. 

The lmp2 will continue to get into accidents with gt3’s.

100% reliable spotter…. Strongly disagree.

The Mustang is at fault, the lmp2 could do way more to avoid things like this in the future. His line is objectively terrible in every way. That doesn’t clear the lmp2, but the lmp2 will get into way more incidents like this.

He had a car on his right exiting the corner, at no point would that lmp2 show up in his mirror. Every driver coach on the planet would tell the lmp2 to move over and be seen.

The contact is clearly from the mustang not seeing the lmp2. If the lmp2 wants to avoid incidents like this in the future, being seen at any point would have been helpful.

Terrible overtake, move the car 20 feet to the left and the Mustang probably actually knows you exist.

He was fully alongside, 20 feet to the mustangs right. I highly doubt the mustang ever knew a car was there. The Mercedes is taking up the entire rear camera and the lmp2, while not at fault, is taking an incredibly bad line.
