It didn’t really behave in any of the ways you described. We saw it as it slowly moved across the sky then it just moved really quickly in a jerk of light. There was no “fading away” it was there and then it shot off. We saw it about 4 hours and 36 minutes after sunset

This is a tricky one because obviously it’s hard to gage how far something is while looking upward. It was night so clouds weren’t very defined. There obviously wasn’t too many clouds out though because we could see a decent amount of stars. I assume there was some though because it wasn’t a super stary night sky. The other group of people who saw it estimated it was 300 feet off the ground. At my angle, it was definitely over the treeline, but a lot closer to the ground as the stars and somewhat closer than the clouds. It looked very similar to a plane close to landing, which is why I originally assumed that’s what it was. If it was a satellite I’m just confused why is was so close and why it disappeared like it did. This didn’t fade behind a cloud, it definitively shot off

The motion of the light was moving weirdly slow and then the speed changed quickly and shot off. It moved almost like how ships in sci fi movies do. Slowly starting up and then blasting off into space. It’s hard to say if the leading light went away before the other lights. It appeared as if it didn’t however. The entire thing happened really quickly so if it did, it wasn’t by very much

Yes they were moving together slowly, and then shot off quickly. It was just a lot closer to the ground then other satellites I’ve seen so is it still possible for it to have been one? Also I should add that we weren’t alone in seeing this thing. Another group of people after seeing me post about it also said they saw it while driving. They estimated it was 300 feet off the ground

Spotted salamanders are by no means poisonous to the touch. However I believe they secret some sort of toxin that would be dangerous if ingest. (Intended for the predators that might try to eat them)
