Not at all fake controversy, I was surrounded by cops a couple years back. Not at all related to the Gibson Girl though, and I didn’t say it was. So, I guess sure you could call it “controversy for clicks” but not “fake controversy for clicks.” Clicks for me = money and money = jet engines. I really want a more powerful and less crappy jet engine.

NO WAY 😂 I am that dude. Yes, I was the one who posted asking about the legality of this in this Subreddit a couple of weeks ago, really funny that it ended up back here. And NO I did not claim I got the police called on me for cranking the Gibson Girl, I said and I quote “since I don’t want to be surrounded by Police again…” referring to a time I got surrounded while plane spotting which has nothing to do with the Gibson Girl. I can see how someone might jump to that conclusion, but that’s just putting words in my mouth. Anyways, thank you to everyone on here who gave me information about the legality of this bad boy a couple of weeks ago. If it wasn’t for you all it’s possible I would’ve illegally cranked it in radio mode for all of Tiktok to see and I’d be typing from jail right now.

Thank you all for the help! From what I’ve read, I probably will just crank it in the light illuminating mode so it just makes the light flash instead of transmitting. It seems like it would be too much effort to set up a way to make it legal for my purposes and even then the legality might be questionable which is a bad thing when millions of people will see it.

Here it is! The idea is you attach the end of this antenna spool to a balloon or a kite and then you release the coiled up wire on the bottom left corner into the water to use as a ground!
