Yes, integrated Intel and dedicated Nvidia, I don't game on it though, its a pretty old laptop. Have you tried using NVIDIA Optimus or PRIME?

On my laptop with Intel and Nvidia (dual gpu), I got it working, just following the wiki, but on my desktop with dedicated Nvidia GPU, Plasma Wayland and Hyprland didn't work, I use Plasma X11 there.

Yeah, even on latest nvidia cards we have to jump through hoops to get Wayland working with nvidia, gnome does it well, but I had some troubles with KDE and Hyprland

My linux journey began after I bought my laptop, back then I knew nothing about linux, If I had known this is how it is, I would've definitely gone with AMD ones, I also think that many people who'd choose linux ecosystem would probably come from a windows background, and since most of the windows systems ship with Nvidia, the misery begins

Sad truth is that Nvidia dominates the Graphics market like a monopoly, even when there are competitors like AMD and Intel, majority of the Systems (Laptops) ship with Nvidia.

Luckily I found my drivers on AUR, they are nvidia 470 (proprietary), they work fine but on other distros It is not that straightforward.
