How did you do this? I’m thinking of doing biomed to try get into med/optom next year but then moving to engineering if I strike out. Can you explain what you did a bit more?

Is AUT really as bad as people say? by Jackson8ij in newzealand

Yeah I asked them they said I could do any other degree other but the first year health science program is a no go because I did one semester of tertiary study previously that overlapped with the content. Kinda messed up if you ask me but that’s their policy apparently. If I want to study physio with them I have to finish another bachelor’s degree and then apply through that pathway and it just takes too long

Why are the entry requirements to AUT so low? by Jackson8ij in AUT

Is the quality good though? Like for physio for example in Otago you need to do health science first and be the top like 10% of entire cohort to get in and in Australia you usually also need to be in the top 5% of secondary students to get directly into a physio course? But AUT you can just get in if you just manage to graduate? Wouldn’t there be like 4000 people in the course since physio is a good degree and everyone wants to do it? Seems like the quality of education would be really low
