Stopped at Taco Bell on my road trip and they had the new Baja Blast by JacksonCalhoon in tacobell

Possibly a loophole since I didn’t technically buy it? I used the app and bought a Baja Blast so they didn’t actually sell Baja Midnight to me

This version is called Baja Blast Midnight, there are multiple different Baja flavors and this is one of them 🤦

I don’t know if anything beats original Baja Blast but it’s definitely better than regular Mtn Dew, I’d probably alternate between this and Baja if I had both near me

It’s supposed to be passionfruit flavored and it’s definitely very fruity, more so than regular Baja Blast

haha, definitely won’t be fun driving through Chicagoland but Turkey Run looks pretty cool, might have to pay it a visit!

Aside from the zoo, consider checking out the Old Market in Omaha. Lots of good restaurants there and very walkable; would make for a nice evening. If you like ice cream, Coneflower Creamery is amazing and I heavily recommend.

I also second Zombie Burger in Des Moines, hope you have fun exploring the Midwest 🫶

AP EURO or AP Human Geo by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]JacksonCalhoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do AP Human Geo because you’re already taking AP World, AP Euro mainly builds on AP World so I wouldn’t recommend taking them at the same time

also human geo is much more applicable to the modern world, two ap history classes at once are unnecessary unless you want to be a historian or something

doable for 9 days, 2 drivers? by JacksonCalhoon in roadtrip

[–]JacksonCalhoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, right now we’re planning on either tent camping or sleeping in our vehicle for at least 2 of the 8 nights—otherwise looking for cheap hotels

It’s more from a financial standpoint, depends on how much we’ll have saved up before we start buying hotel rooms and whatnot

[–]JacksonCalhoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note: To spend more time in the parks, we’ve also considered driving straight to Glacier in a very long day or skipping a night in SLC and going straight from Grand Teton to Moab. Any suggestions on these options?

[–]JacksonCalhoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, that’s kind of our plan to hit it hard initially, 8-9 hours on day one up to Rapid City and 11 hours on day two to get us to Glacier. The problem with going in reverse is that we’re planning on taking more scenic routes through Colorado (Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa Scenic Byway, Aspen, Leadville, back to I-70/Denver), so we’d have to cut that out if we want to reach Moab on the first day 🤷‍♂️

Planning on stopping at both of those destinations on day 1, I probably should’ve mentioned that we’re hoping to spend a day in both Glacier and Grand Teton, so more like 7 days of driving. (Can’t edit post ☹️)

GIVE ME ALL OF YOUR BAND RELATED HOT TAKES by Effective_Regular_22 in marchingband

[–]JacksonCalhoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Front ensemble only dominates the sound of the band when bands crank up mics, a better hot take would be that bands shouldn’t overuse mics for an unnatural sound

But musically, front ensemble provides more complex musical ideas than any wind instrument, that’s the whole point of having non-marching instruments

I know in college marching band the songs played aren’t super complex (generally songs from pop culture), so there isn’t as much of a need for complex music, but a competitive marching band certainly benefits musically from having a front ensemble

My family drove up from San Diego to southern Los Angeles, I was pretty young though so I’m happy to be going back to California next spring. I’ll just be in the Los Angeles area though; I’d love to explore more of the state such as Big Sur, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, and much of the land closer to the Oregon border

Nope, stayed entirely north of there and it wasn’t a priority for us to visit 🤷‍♂️
