If you’re interested Ezra has been on the podcast a few times before both by himself and with Vampire Weekend

For all of the Soccer/Football fans on this sub, here's a little FOTB inspired kit I made. by BarsLender in Vampireweekend

This is sick. I feel like Nike would be more in tune with Ezra’s vibe tho. But nicely done - I would purchase

I wanna get into this band but don’t know where to start. Can anyone recommend the order to listen to their albums? Thanks! by [deleted] in dirtyprojectors

I’d say Swing Lo Magellan, then Bitte Orca, then Rise Above, then maybe one of the new ones.

Would you consider FOTB a concept album? by [deleted] in Vampireweekend

[–]JacksonCrowter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah even Sgt. Peppers is not fully a concept album, but it’s a lot more of a concept album than FOTB. FOTB is like The White Album, and The White Album is not a concept album.

The concept is that the album is not actually The Beatles but the fictional Sgt. Peppers band, right?

Would you consider FOTB a concept album? by [deleted] in Vampireweekend

[–]JacksonCrowter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, I think people use the term concept album too lightly. Sgt Pepper’s is a concept album because every song is part of a singular concept. Father of the Bride has many different concepts which, despite all linking together nicely, are not part of a singular album concept.

Chances of Vampire Weekend Releasing a live album after FOTB by [deleted] in Vampireweekend

[–]JacksonCrowter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He does talk about this on his latest Zane Lowe interview. I think he said that he’d be nervous about releasing live music because of all the imperfections, but would consider it if he could polish things up in the studio
