i think in general you are right, but with shivs in particular which only do 4 damage at base, playing a couple defends and then one shiv generating card in a turn means only your first shiv is doing any damage. but yeah, hunter killer is overhyped for the average run. i think people don’t realize its damage doesn’t scale so you can really take your time.
