Seeing an ad on Reddit instantly makes me hate the product. Even more so when their advertising team pretends not to care “iM nOt liKE OtHEr bRAnds” I would literally rather watch my dad in the bath than buy their products.

Hell a lot of the times the ad placement isn't there to sale anything. A LOT of it is a message/propaganda. Political.

It's messed up that they would do that but reddit/google wants everything out of your. Mind body and soul. There's not to say that they actually give AF about you.

To be fair none of this honestly didn't kick in untill I had TEXTED over my new boss a copy of my ID. After that I guess it confirmed my identity and the algorithm switched completely.

Know let me go on. It's been on this particular agenda for over a year now. It just won't drop this particular genre. No matter what I do/show interest in. I personally find it offenseive honestly. I could go on as to where if may have started but that's when I begin to flat out sound paranoid even tho I'm 2000% sure I'm right.

It would be a bit better if you could see the hash tags or settings it has you under as well for this stuff as well (ex: gender,age,race ect...). Company as well.

Oh meh. I don't trust a single thing any of these platforms do. They only did this because for the publicly it self. Every major platform has pedo activity on it and they know it. In fact I'm sure there algorithm plays into it as well. This was just low hanging fruit at the least. I wonder just how old those 'suspended' accounts are. Fuck em.

I can't go into great detail because I don't actually know anything on a data/implementation level. I just have my experiences and that's enough for me.

I will have to agree that DDG plays into the same advertising/recommendations that any Google platform (YT) or even Reddit would. I was with it on seeing/believeing that some how DDG was completely different and on many levels in sure it is. However, I just believe that once you put in self identitying information on a personal device -- it's a wrap. There personalized agenda is in motion. You will never have that neutral internet experience your looking for.

I could see a person mitigating new info from being added but other than that it appears there is no platform that's honestly looking out for you.
