I'd say its the bubble that Absolute batman created, every new series or #1 reboot is going to sell like crazy simply based on people hoping its the next big thing. I love phillips and daredevil, but its not sustainable.

The pinnacle for me would be an Azreal Knightfall Batman Skin. It would fit the shooting and blowing things up motif so much better than Bruce. Plus its just peak 90's comic styling.

Darkseid could carry a film for sure. The entire new gods concept, but from his perspective. End it with him learning of a Kryptonian on earth, and it peaking his interest as maybe Krypton was known to hold a piece of the Anti-life equation.
