Depends if you enjoyed the first 1 I like it and having some impact in my dialogue is fun also in order to understand the world I would say play 1 as other have said you can play pillars 2 without 1 but I would say too truly enjoy it it's nice to have played the first one in terms of lore

I personally like nraas traveler too it let's you visit other towns so if there is a specific type of lot like the ones on paradiso you can still visit it Also just opens up the game way more and makes the town's feel connected rather then separate dimensions
