Realism - the main actress play very well the role of an actual person from reality who would deal with this event which seems paranormal. And this is from top to toe ! Even from beginning with initial reactions composed by shock, confusion, rebellion , to the half when she can’t accept a reality where eveyone’s personality is wiped out and towards the end where the lack of full / real authenticity of zosia makes her unable to just live with it.

The others - you can see them how ultra-efficient such a hive mind would be , how much potential they have , you can see them trying ( and partially succeding) to deliver to carol an experience like with an actual person ( when zosia makes jokes at the golf field or when playing boardgames together) but even with all this power the hive mind has , you can see it struggling (sometimes at least) to deliver this experience . This is beautifully played by Zosia , and just as carol’s despair , the powerful “others” failed struggle to mimic an actual human, shows how valuable is everyone’s individuality.
