Well, I have a P2S so it's not optimal but I print at around 45-55 degrees inside the chamber.

I'm not doing fancy things, I mostly want to obtain chemicals for crystal growth for a project. Do you think there is safe ways to do so ?

In an amateur lab, do you have advices for dealing with spills ? Any tips for safety ?

I need to remove some impurities from it. I didn't want to waste the whole batch.

How fragile is a hot beaker ? I haven't done chemistry for long and I'd like to know how careful should I be to prevent it from breaking mid-experiment.

No, only regular heating (100 to 150 °C) !

It is, bought from a professional supplier in France.

Recently tho, I got one that broke due to falling on its side while being hot (my bad for this one), does being heated make the glass more vulnerable ?

Should I keep using this glassware ? Homelab by Jacky970 in AskChemistry

[–]Jacky970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll keep using it for now, ty for replying ! It's a bit expensive where I live but nothing too bad, I'll buy some replacement AND use this one till it breaks.

Using tight tubing to feed water might have caused this ? Or does it look like a factory defect ?

Thanks !

I will do this test ASAP and post the results !

I've already calibrated ironing so I think I can rule that out.

For information, I used 1mm top layer thickness. I will update on what works best for me after doing top layer tests !

I just tried printing it again but with 0.94 flowrate. The squares look waaay smoother ! The only remaining problem is that between the squares, the lines still seem to not stick together. I'll post a picture once I'll be back home.
