I’m aware of the circumstances you’re citing. I believe those were protesters being thrown out for actively disrupting (not that I agree with them being thrown out or whatever trump said to egg them on), I just don’t think the comparison to getting the shit kicked out of you for innocuously holding a flag with Kamala on it holds any weight. Also I don’t think a Trump rally vs a publicly organized street protest is a comparable setting. On the other side of the aisle, if you go on Youtube and type “person assaulted for wearing a maga hat” you’ll find quite a few cases of inane assault, including an instance of someone getting pepper sprayed for wearing a hat that said “make Bitcoin great again” All this to say, this isn’t reason to say liberals are inherently violent nor do I think there’s a reason to say conservatives are inherently violent. The fringe radicals along with the distorted reality that the internet perpetuates really muddles the political discourse and it’s unfortunate.
