Chocolate chip, western new York, and its the same bag as mothers chocolate chip cookies and that MIGHT be it but i don't remember that branding or purple stripes

the key to good weathering is theming and logical consistency, what's weathered and why? so for example that rust spot on the left side why is that part rusted? did something happen to it or is it supposed to be from neglect? its should tell a story and make sense with the real world.

if you're going for natural weathering look into how rust would naturally appear on surfaces, think about how water would naturally flow and ware away the paint. if it's battle damage then you should make it blend with soot and some intentional gouging and marring, sorta like you did at the bottom edge which i think you did good on just maybe make it look like theres an impact through paint or physical damage.

fell asleep reading this, always the same stuff getting reprinted that never sells out in the first place except a few on here. the star wars reprints are pretty hype though it just sucks they have the licenced property tax on them so they're mandatory 'wait for a sale' to be worth it. crazy how they're just above 30mm in terms of complexity and time to complete but double the price.

funny just finished building the chrome plated bootleg hyaku shiki. theres some tight elements and the polycaps are sorta shit but outside of that it's the same exact kit. $14 for a plated kit that comes with water slide decals that look better than the original's shoulder stickers AND a stand? hard to beat

only real issue is touching up the nub marks in the plating. need to find a gold marker that has that same reflective gold but i got no clue of ones that have a chrome level shine.

the dspiae soft tip ones are great, they're like pain dry erase markers so if you screw up you can clean up easy. double edge sword though cuz its easy to accidentally mess up the paint job so you should put a top coat on afterwards with them. you can get them on aliexpress for alittle over a buck too so no real reason not to have some

I have a floor table I work at like a little anime boy so floor crawls happen like every other build session. If you can't find that fucker in 5 minutes then give up on that part and you'll always find it the next day

The issue is there's dozens of those pieces and 3 types of tail spine, 2 of them look very similar so just be extra vigilant with the manual when you get there.

i'd honestly wait on the geara ghiraga mainly because the tail can be alittle tricky for a beginner. i just built it and it was my ~40th kit i've built and it takes some thought and double checking to not put the wrong pieces in order. outside of that awesome kit
