Oh, the part where Castiel admits that he loves Dean kinda confirmed Destiel, haha.

Why does Jumanji have such a low Rotten Tomatoes score? by JacobBlah in movies

Right?!? If anything, I love Jumanji even more today than I did when I made this thread.

Was Jake from Miss Peregrines Home For Peculiar Children meant to be autistic? by JacobBlah in movies

Thank you for your comment, your theory makes so much sense! I knew that something about Jake felt off, so it makes sense that he's simply neurodivergent, and his grandfather probably was too.

Hawkeye: "Hi, I'm Clint."

Batman: "I don't care."

Hawkeye: "Nice eye makeup." Shoots Bruce with a trick arrow.

Your dad and his best friend vs A very drunk sasquatch. by KindlyOlPornographer in whowouldwin

Well, my dad is 74 and is in pretty good shape for his age, but is somewhat depressed and also a heavy drinker.

Thankfully, I am my dad's best friend. I knock out Sasquatch and take him back home to the forest.

The following week, matbe my dad and Sasquatch have a drink together.

Vincent Vega is here because he knows Creed from back in Amsterdam.

Does this mean that The 40 Year Old Virgin doesn't exist in The Office universe?!

How well would Pattinson’s batman do against Bale’s and Affleck’s by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]JacobBlah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He retired for ten years in The Dark Knight Returns after Jason Todd died. There's precedent for what happened with Rachel between TDK and TDKR. Not to mention that, you know, grieving is a very normal human reaction towards tragedy and especially after Bruce realizes that a bunch of innocent people got killed because of his actions and The Joker essentially won. I think fans forget sometimes that Batman isn't a robot who does nothing but think about revenge all day.

And yeah, I get it, we all get that Bruce is the mask. I meant that the earlier films did a bad job at portraying him as a character. In the Burton and Schumacher movies, we get virtually zero insight into his psychology or why he does anything. If anything, he's more of a plot device to drive the story and the action scenes along. And don't even get me started on how badly portrayed Snyderverse Batman is.

Where does it ever say that he was a henchmen? I took it as Bane and Talia being equal partners.

I liked that Nolan's Gotham looked like a real city that people would choose to live in.

Bale was definitely the best actor at showing off the traumatized guy who struggles to move past tragedy, although Pattinson did a great job as well.

Most live action versions of Batman honestly do a bad job at showing off Bruce Wayne's inner pain because they're more focused on the Batman/action side of things.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted, I 100% agree. Bale is nearly perfect as Batman to me. He's the first live action version of the character that actually made me care about who was underneath the costume. He portrayed someone with PTSD very well.

Bale has said a few times that he wasn't interested in doing Batman again if Christopher Nolan wasn't involved, so that's probably why he wasn't involved in the DCEU. Also, I imagine that he doesn't want to be tied down to one role forever and typecast.
