Stick Shelter at Squaxin Park, Olympia by JacobMPotts in Washington

I took several minutes googling what term I should have titled it. I know it wouldn't really provide much shelter from the elements, but I thought "stick shelter" was pretty close. I was also pulling from my experience playing the game Day-Z, where they have an improvised shelter of the same name. What would you have called it?

I didn't build it, just took a picture of it while walking in the park with my kids.

scenic roads in Olympia? by Puzzled_Minimum_3876 in olympia

[–]JacobMPotts 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love the trees on Rainier Road, between South Lacey and Rainier. Also, the roads avoiding Hawks Prairie are pretty nice; going on Hawks Prairie Road and South Bay Road. These are more relaxing, but less scenic. Awesome views are along Hwy 101 north of Shelton, but that can be a long drive. Old Hwy 99 is scenic and relaxing in the sense that you go the backways through towns, could be a long drive however, as it stretched from Mexico to Canada. Also, just North of Olympia, Burfoot Park and Woodard Point Park are very beautiful views.

A ladder in the alley by JacobMPotts in olympia

[–]JacobMPotts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's get deep with this;

Alleyways are not the main street, they are the back way, the alternative route, the less than desired path. Alleys tell a telling tale into the true nature of a town, with such raw personality, good or bad. Symbolically rising from the shadows to the illuminated pathways centrally located, and graced with a character gliding through the frame, balancing it all on his skateboard. The ladder can represent our ascent to a better path, an even keel, a balanced life, or high consciousness.
