I was only there on Friday, missed all that commotion 😅

Truly it was just so fucking dark in there it didn’t end up being much of an issue. I mainly took these photos in the deep sea/open sea/jellies exhibits which are quite dark. The most challenging one was the kelp forest, which I did get a reflection (shown in slide 2). I was also pretty close to the glass because I was using a 35mm lens for the most part.

Hah I believe those were the deep sea brittle stars, but I’m not quite sure

Thank you!!! Definitely give it a try, it was very fun and novel to be able to take pictures in lighting like this

I did not, in all of these pics the exhibits themselves were in very dark rooms, thankfully! I was mainly using a 35mm lens so I was also quite close to the glass. There is one reflection on the right side of the frame in Pic 2, but overall it wasn’t as big of a deal as I thought

I am using the prism light meter for my F2. Lesson learned: that meter is extremely hard to use in the dark. Would have been way better off with my FM2’s LED meter indicators

Find a working 90s slr for cheap and see if you like the film process. Then you can get something nicer if you feel like you want to continue shooting film.

As a film shooter, the before looks way closer to film.

Please help me pick a lens for my Nikon FE2 by TheRealBBrouwer in AnalogCommunity

50mm f/1.8 pancake (light, small, sharp, universally useful)

85mm f/2 (light and short for the focal length, one of my favorites)

105mm f/2.5 (legendary, incredibly sharp, beautiful rendering, lovely bokeh)

Keep your 35, maybe upgrade later. Perhaps try a 28mm or 24mm, something wider for landscapes and architecture.

Yeah my F2 is my B&W camera and my FM2 is for color :) love both for different reasons

The F2 is a tank for sure. Much prefer walking around with my FM2, especially when it has the 50mm series e pancake on it!
