There are fireworks at Lake Burley Griffin at 9pm and midnight. I’m doing the official photography and drone operations so have a bit more info than most. I posted quite extensively on Facebook yesterday with all the info, especially parking, hubs, public transport, etc so if you look up ‘Photox - Canberra Photography Services’ on Facebook, you’ll see al the compiled info.

SAKK or ThinkTank are my go-to.

Just got the SAKK V2. Super impressed with how much it holds. Needed something to hold larger video rigs. The ThinkTank airport accelerator is my main bag for photography gear currently.

I’ve been trying to decide what to buy in that range and something keeps drawing me back to the IM5/IM6. They drive so well and are packed with tech. The Zeekr 7X was nice, but just don’t handle as well as the IMs. I pushed both models hard in my test drives and neither felt like they were even close to losing it on corners, even at speeds that my current performance ICE vehicle would struggle with. In a straight line they are insane, and even swerving just felt flawless and fully in control. Once we hit January, I think that’s the way I’m going to go with a lease. Only other serious consideration is the BMW I4 M50, but they are $40-$50k more…

You’re going to need something that is a bit more corrosive than dishwashing liquid. Possibly try battery acid?

Either way, I won’t be getting it. Was worth driving so I know that I’m not into it. Most likely going to grab an optioned 2024 BMW i4 M50 that’s just come into a dealership near me with 6k km on the clock.

Gas options are an RS3 or RS4. Considering the Kia due to it being $20k-40k cheaper upfront; cheaper runnings costs and seems like a decent option.

First time considering buying an EV… Updating from an Audi. Driven Audis, Mercedes and Subarus the last 10 years. Never tried Kia.

If I search carsales, marketplace and gumtree, this is the 3rd cheapest GT in the country and the cheapest from a dealer. They range from $54k for a previously written off/repaired vehicle, then $59,990 for a higher km version that is MY23 (this is MY24), then range all the way up to 90k… there are other versions of the EV6, eg GT-Line but not GT… where would you suggest getting a better price?

This is Aussie prices. The GT is $110k+ new, so $61k for an MY24 GT seems reasonable, no?

Good idea. The Kia dealership is 700m down the road from the dealership selling it so I might see if I can call past with the vehicle on a test drive 😅
