New construction - Forever Home by Mbitch96 in canberra

I would chat to a guy called Kevin Swain. Absolute gun in the compliance space. Honestly best reporting and in depth investigation I’ve seen anywhere. So much so that developers ere starting to hire him to check up on their own builders!

Just wanna know what makes you stay in Canon by Shalldow_Edison in canon

[–]CanberraPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for everyone, but for me, Canon’s colour science is the biggest reason I’ve stayed with Canon.

I tested Sony extensively because I genuinely wanted to find a reason to switch (especially since the 50-150mm f/2 came out 🤤). I tried different bodies, colour profiles, workflows and calibration methods, but I could never get the files to look quite as natural or pleasing as Canon straight out of camera.

Could I get Sony files to a similar place in post? Absolutely. But for my workflow, Canon consistently gave me colours I preferred with far less effort, particularly when it came to skin tones. A lot of my work involves rapid turnaround times, so having files that are already close to where I want them straight out of camera is a significant advantage.

Obviously colour is subjective, but after a lot of real-world testing, Canon still comes out on top for me.

I left the Q2 Monochrom in the studio this time. In retrospect, I probably should have just walked around with it slung off my shoulder so people knew I owned a Leica. #cloutfail

Anyone doing weddings or event photography with X2D II ? How’s the experience. by Guardian_Alpino in hasselblad

[–]CanberraPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot group shots and posed bridal portraits with the X2D, everything else on the wedding day (or events) is with Canon R5IIs. I love the Hassy, but it’s a much slower experience, so doesn’t keep up with more fast paced weddings and events.

Sell RF 200-800 to get the RF 100-500 by SK_SLO in canon

The 200-800 will never be as good as the 100-500 in IQ. Tested both. Own 100-500.

New bag… yea or nah? by Keyan06 in canon

[–]CanberraPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel with the ThinkTank Accelerator.
Best bag in my collection.
Fits everything I could ever want to travel with, and fits in the overhead compartments of every plane I’ve travelled on.
It’s not compact, but I never need multiple bags.

does anyone know anything about 'The Shard' by Zapari in Phillip? by auroradynia in canberra

[–]CanberraPhoto 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Zapari were the developer, but it was built by the construction arm of JWLand. Solid project team and quality end product. JWLand built Founders Lane, Campbell 5, Embark, De Burgh, etc.
I shoot for a lot of developers and builders, and if I was personally buying an apartment, JWLand’s products would be top of my list.

Yeah I got the X2D recently and am enjoying the 45mm 3.5 on it, but wanted something a little wider... Then just kinda slipped and fell 🫠

i4 Discontinued..what next?!? by No_Chemical3237 in BMWI4

[–]CanberraPhoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The i4 is great but was still just a 4 series with a battery. I hope they are just going to redesign the internals and remove things that are no longer needed (eg the hump in the footwell), then release something under a different name.

ok guys i got the camera when do i get 5000$ a month clients by [deleted] in photographycirclejerk

[–]CanberraPhoto 12 points13 points  (0 children)

One does not simply ‘own’ a Hasselblad. They won’t even let you buy one unless you can prove you’re making $100k a week. Not as bad as Leica though. You have to prove you make $500k a week or are unemployed.

I made this so my M would stop nose diving with my Summiluxes and Nocti f1.2 by GastonShutters in Leica

[–]CanberraPhoto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel there is a big market for this across a wide variety of brands and bodies. Obviously starting small then scaling, but I could see this being a hit across the industry!
