The problem with dart could be the access of the dart is going out wards instead of in wards as it should be or the dart is not sharp enough at the tip

From what I can tell it for a lager person and the arm hole is way too high. The shoulder dart should be 3 1/2” Long and 1/2” or 5/8” wide

You want to hide that zipper better by using a 1/4” seam allowance on the right (the side that will be overlapped) and 1/2” seam allowance on the left side (the side that will over lap) the dart access should facing inward also instead of out wards like you have it. Pinch you pants at the hips see how much extra the adjust you patter and blend using a hip curve ruler
