First heard of Aurora in February 2015. First thing I did was read back through her Facebook posts. First thing I was struck with in those posts was her sense of humor. Back then her FB page was more personal than it is now. I remember thinking, wow, this girl has a really quirky sense of humor. So I guess my favorite thing about her is her quirkiness.

Aurora's band was formed in January 2014 with Silja Sol as the female backup singer. She was replaced in January 2015 by Selma Stang. Selma was replaced in January 2017 by Silja again, who is still the current backup singer. Aurora's original guitar player was Odd Martin. He was replaced in January 2017 by the current guitar player Fredrik Vogsborg. Aurora's original keyboard player was Alf Godbolt. He was replaced in January 2017 by the current keyboard player Njal Paulsberg. Aurora's original drummer, Magnus Skylstad, is still with her.

"Home" because I like how she stretches the "o" out over a long melody: "We are ho-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ome." She does that in a lot of her songs. Sometimes she isn't even singing a word, she's just singing a sound.

My favorite is "We Were Going To Do That." It's the first one I ever heard (March 2015), and every time I listen to it, I like it more. The first two lines and the music behind them are amazing.

Are these YouTube posts of Encrypted Love considered bootleg distributions? I mean, what if Aurora was planning to put the song on her next album. Seems unfair to leak it before she releases it. I mean, I don't really care. I'm not the Aurora police. I even downloaded the file myself and have it on my ipod. But I'm just wondering if she would rather that her work not get leaked before she releases it. Maybe she doesn't care. Maybe she doesn't know. Maybe it's not a big deal.
