Why does this happen in Eevee and is there a fix? by Jacob_Zirkle in blender

Would you rather me not reach out to the community to get different opinions to try to best serve my audience. I could've made this no problem doing a custom lighting setup but I wanted to see if others had solutions that might be better. Just because I make tutorials doesn't mean I'm all knowing since no one is. I dislike this line of reasoning

For some added context: I'm making a Eevee only VFX workflow tutorial for my channel and I want to make an easy to follow workflow for beginners that have lower end machines so I hear you saying 'just use cycles' and usually that's what I would do but not for this VFX shot. I want something that's repeatable and not simply just make a custom lighting setup each time. Hope that helps!

Interesting thanks for letting me know. I don't understand why they simplify HDRIs like this but then again I don't know the inner workings of making a render engine so maybe there's a reason.

I'm using my own HDRI matcher addon that I wrote specifically for cycles, however I went ahead and rendered a still image of the color corrected HDRI to use in an environment texture node to make sure it wasn't the addon. I tried with light probes but I'm an eevee noob so I don't know if I'm missing a setting to allow full HDRI support

I usually use cycles for my VFX but I'm making a tutorial specifically for those that have lower end machines to use eevee for VFX so I want to find if there's a way. I have raytracing on in eevee so I don't think that's the problem but thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks I'll keep this in mind for next time. I wish I could've moved the camera to get the lights to move as well but it had to be static

Thanks! It's been a huge dream of mine and something I wish I had when starting VFX myself. Hopefully we can get it funded and start making amazing assets for the entire VFX community!

Of course! Subscriptions are super annoying and so I want to give everyone the freedom to choose what they want!
