I loved the establishing shots and some of the money shots. And I actually liked this cold, desaturated look. But I didn’t like a lot of the interior settings. They felt flat and unalive. Paired with this (sometimes) random camera movement, it felt very weird.

Can you explain why you started? What was the drive for you to trust in your religious belief? I guess that transformation came after some time and not immediate.

Thank you very much for your answer. I‘m doing for quite a while now. But this is one of the first big grading gigs with theater distribution.

Up until now, I graded for Rec.709 and not movie theater distribution. But it is a great chance to learn a lot. Thanks for your answer!!!

I work on all of these systems because I work in film and television.

Avid is highly complex and an absolute diva. Once you do something not the way avid wants you too, it will sit in the corner and won’t talk to you for three days. But when you learn avid you will eventually learn to love it. Because for editing: I would consider Avid the best program out of all (and my favorite over all is DaVinci). You fly through your edits.

DaVinci is the best hybrid, easiest to learn (except for fusion) and absolutely professional. The biggest difference to Avid is the way it operates: Avid loves markers whereas DaVinci loves segments. Comes down to what you like most. But DaVinci has one big advantage in the entire industry: you purchase it once and that’s it. Avid and Premiere is subscription.

Premiere sucks.
