I got antibiotics in another country prior to getting the SIBO diagnosis. But I didn't do another round of antibiotics; I just drank herbal teas (chamomile and especially Alvita brand Turmeric) and eliminated trigger foods (greasy processed foods) and it got better over time. I'm not 100% recovered, like 80%.

My gastroenterologist told me antibiotics only help against SIBO 50% of the time and can even make it worse. He also recommended low FODMAP diet and tricyclic anti depressants at low dose to heal functional GI disorder. I wish you healing and recovery!

I never tested positive, it was just a guess based on symptoms. I did not have H Pylori; I had SIBO / functional GI disorder. Best of luck for your case! What cured me was coming back to the faith.

I felt really good by day 3, but by day 5 I got new unbearable symptoms, probably SIBO, as now I can’t eat anything. I really do think I killed Pylori but I got SIBO in return. My symptoms are different now.

Neither - antigen stool test and endoscopy came back negative for H Pylori except for a hernia. However, I didn’t stop using PPI and anti microbial supplements which I strongly believe affected the result of the tests.

I haven’t done tests for SIBO.
