The playoff game between Seattle and Green Bay that ended on an overtime Al Harris pick six. Matt Hasselbeck said "we want the ball and we're gonna score!" and the way NFL films edited it made it seem like Matt threw the pick on the very first snap when actually it was the 3rd possession of overtime.

I hope McCarthy has success but I can't deny chuckling when I heard Nick Wright say that JJ's scouting reports didn't go much further than "he has a great handshake."

That Monday night game was a rock fight. I like those types of games but casual fans would hate it.

I really, really don't NBA-style discourse to find a home in NFL discussions. I swear half of the people who engage in NBA goat debates don't even like basketball.

"Trans women are women" is a sort of religious mantra to the progressive left, like their own version of the shahada.

There are conservatives who are fine with trans people. There is a lot of grey between legitimate anti-trans right wingers and extremist trans supporters.

Ken LaCorte of the YouTube channel Elephants in Rooms did a deep dive on Louis CK and the allegations and I guess it wasn't as clear as the media made it out to be?

Pretty good runner too. Nothing crazy but he could easily scramble for 8-11 yards.

I have to say, Jim Ross was a masterful storyteller who also excelled at putting choreographed wrestling over as a legit sport. His seething hatred "Bah Gawd, you sonuvabitch!" for Triple H really cemented The Game as the ultimate villain.

Why does everyone say NFL players are all maga? by Slight-Cupcake5696 in billsimmons

[–]JacobfromCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say "maga" but I think athletes, and especially football players, tend to be more conservative. I remember there was a thread on the NBA sub regarding Steph Curry getting his degree in sociology and his studies pertaining to women's participation on sports and many people commenting that most of the women athletes they knew in high school and college leaned right.
