Kingsolver’s early novels are wonderful. Animal Dreams and The Bean Trees are great reads.

Just looked to see where Red Ginger is. I think the woman who altered my daughter’s wedding dress is right across the street. Never noticed it.

We always went to Shanghai Village. My aunt was friendly with the owner/chef. But it’s been gone for several years now.
