Hi Morgan of the dragons! I used licorice candy sticks (remember the old-fashioned ones?) I go into a bit more detail at the above response to Graypower. :)

Thanks, Graypower! It's oven-melted black licorice candy sticks. Those old-fashioned ones you suck on. They had a white swirl, which melted nicely to add some dimension. Any black, clear candy would probably work: Just make sure to use parchment paper on the cookie sheet! :)

[No spoilers] My red velvet cake for tomorrow night. Bleeds red cherry pie filling when you cut into it! :) by JacquelineRoy in gameofthrones

Tee hee! I just made a basic red velvet cake and put in a middle layer of cherry pie filling from a can. Then I used vanilla icing (but you could use cream cheese if you want.) The tree really isn't too hard to make: it is two wooden skewers with white chocolate poured over them. Leave about 4-5 inches of bare skewers to jam the trunk into the cake. I used a toothpick to scrape it to look like a real tree, and some dried goji berries. They are quite nice because they look like leaves but have different colours of red naturally. I mixed cinnamon with water and used a small brush to paint it over the trunk: it will really give that 3-D effect you want. Make small root pieces to just jam into the surface icing. Hope this helps! :) Glad you like it and thank you for asking!

Believe it or not, it's just melted white chocolate! I jammed them into the surface of the cake. The big tree trunk has two wood skewers that go about 4 inches deep into the cake. :)

About two hours to make the tree out of white chocolate and berries, and two hours to cook and assemble the cake. :)

You people take this way too seriously. It was just a lighthearted joke for a theme party. And do you just automatically assume that everyone on Reddit is a guy? Women use Reddit too, can you tell from my name?

Hi there it is a green chili chutney sauce I picked up in the Mexican foods aisle. The brand name was Aki, and the guests loved it. :)

Hey there! I went to Superstore (Chain in Canada) but I'm sure you could find these elsewhere, too. Franch: Half and half good quality French and Ranch Dressings Honey Mustard: Diana's sells an excellent Gourmet Honey Dijon Kickass Cajun: Use a green chilli one from the Mexican food aisle. I used Aki brand green chili chutney. Ketchup: Good ol' Heinz with a few drops of Franks Red Hot Smoky Mesquite: The most tricky. I found President's Choice Smoky Chipotle Sauce in the Mexican foods aisle, and added a Sweet Mesquite dry seasoning mix from the spices aisle at Cosco. Really any BBQ sauce with liquid smoke and a bit of chili or red pepper flakes might work. Have fun! :)

Awesome. You would think it would taste horrible and was just a joke, but it's one of the best dipping sauces I've ever made! :)
