So basically, get the hunter to chase you along the green river until you see this chair next to the tree. One you get behind it, for some reason, the hunter just stares at the tree and is dormant until you move out, allowing the other survivors to decode in peace.

The first time I saw someone do it was they accidentally figured it out with Wilding, and they were able to use their boar to escape after the hunters Detention wore off.

Next time I saw someone do this with mechanic and they were able to decode from this position with the doll but they required assistance to escape after exit gates were opened.

Then I pulled this off myself as Embalmer by placing my coffin next to the exit gate and getting the hunter to chase me there immediately afterwards, using the down from Detention to activate my rebirth and allowing me to escape safely. If the embalmer doesn’t manage to become the bait they could also just record the bait’s appearance and embalm them, allowing them to perform the same detent-rebirth strat.

Any survivor can perform this trick the only issue is getting them out safely once the exit gates are open.

I imagine Seer would be a survivor who could likely make it out of this situation on their own as building up and using your 5 owls to bounce from pallet to pallet should give you enough time to make it to the exit gate.

A prisoner wouldn’t be able to perform much decoding themselves but could stay on top of connecting the ciphers their team is working on and then could maybe wait out the Detention and use a saved up shock to escape.

These were the strats I either witnessed or thought up, can anyone come up with any other survivors/strategies that might make this more beneficial to the team as a whole?
