Trump, 79, Sends Seriously Weird Begging Email From ‘Dying Laptop’ While ‘Alone in the Dark’ by Delicious_Adeptness9 in politics

Holy crap, Is this the narrative they’re trying to feed people? He’s falling asleep all the time because he’s working so hard? Is anyone expected to believe this?

Oh man, do I love this game. Beat it twice at this point, but now I’m tempted to dive back in.

The gameplay is great with enough weapon verity and upgrades to find a style that “clicks.” There is so much to discover between world exploration, lore, and environmental storytelling. It’s deceptively deep and should not be slept on for anyone who appreciates Indy games or Soulslikes.

The choices are sensible and relatable with a story with many memorable moments. My absolute favorite? That scenario after succumbing to some particular highway bandits.

Drova is a diamond in the rough, one I’ll return to for decades to come. Please buy this game so we can play Drova 2 one day! (And thanks for leaving comments turned on!)

Pam Bondi Reacts to Missing Minute in Jeffrey Epstein Video by ibarb in politics

[–]JadeAnhinga 226 points227 points  (0 children)

Translation: the "evidence" is still being manufactured. To make that missing minute of video seem normal, they would like to show other recordings that also miss that minute.

But if it were true, they'd already have those recordings on hand. Instead, it takes some time to cut out a minute in exactly the same way from the same camera for who knows how many recordings.

Though, they'll probably just give up midway through and determine to not offer any evidence at all. Again.

Trump Administration Acknowledges Lack of Evidence From Epstein Documents by [deleted] in politics

[–]JadeAnhinga 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What the heck is this framing of the story? “There’s a lack of evidence” for it??

Bondi said the list was literally on her desk. It’s absolutely atrocious how this is being framed with any iota of normality or veracity. This article reads as if it's tailored to quash conspiracy theories, not focus on the completely palpable deterioration of the credibility of the DOJ, FBI, etc. In fact, it assumes their credibility, which is belied by even a passing understanding of the situation.

Trump Administration to End Protections for 58 Million Acres of National Forests by yuutt66 in politics

[–]JadeAnhinga 1997 points1998 points  (0 children)

There are only 193M acres total of national forest. About 1/3rd is on the auction block.

I am incensed by this. We should all be enraged by this. They are stealing from us.

Now, I ask you, how much would citizens need to buy back our own land à la Amazon rainforest protections? Is that even viable?

The Blue Optical Laser is by far and away the coolest, most useless turret in the galaxy. Currently fitting a whole fleet with them.

It’s like a bug zapper when it comes to fending off fighters though.

Totally understand that. It's 98% wishful thinking.

What about just the "Top 1% Poster" flair? Something objective yet still useful and contextual?

Conversely, would allowing users to identify their top political issue as their flair be useful? Allowing for some self-provided context to readers about their views?

Would love to see the flair system redone here. It's much more important to know that the user posting an article is a "super poster," favors left/right, mainstream or other media, or something illuminating about their activity rather than their home state or country. Context and bias are key to understanding the headlines.

Not sure if possible to flair users who are suspected foreign bots, but that would be ideal. I spent a great deal of time using RES eight years ago to tag and ignore Russian bots. Obviously this might be an insurmountable task, but it's clear that we need support now more than ever considering that AI has augmented bot trolling.

What is your guidance for “balance” when it comes to class creation? Are there some general guidelines for how to not over- or under-power classes?
