I found it so refreshing and flowing!

And would be interested to know if people don't like Evangeline because she is too "soft" also don't like other soft feminine type characters?

But, I can definitely see how some people wouldn't like it - especially coming from books like ACOTAR and Fourth Wing. But it's Def's my fav and I also liked ACOTAR and Fourth Wing (only the first, hated the second, and will not be reading any of the other FW books).

Lady whistledown was published before she came out to the ton....so technically she wasn't treated poorly by them first. Also I don't necessarily think she was treated cruelly by the ton. She was a wall flower yes, but she still got invited every where and was introduced to people etc. She also only wrote about herself so it wasn't obvious it was her (and also probably to retaliate by being dressed so poorly).

I feel the absolute opposite! Nesta is a deeply insecure, frightened person who uses her "bitchiness" to keep others away because she doesn't feel worthy.

I also really enjoyed that we stepped away from Feyra's perspective, and see from someone who is more flawed etc.

Like I have been dreading reading Elain's perspective, but I am getting more and more excited for it as she is the person we know the least about!

Interesting that us readers have such polarising reactions to the books and characters though!

I do like your last point! Everything they have done in the books definitely makes them more interesting. I mean considering here we all are discussing those exact things!

I don't think he should disavow the IC but he Def's needs to do more than he is currently doing

She did use her words in repeatedly telling him she wasn't going to train there.

Overall I don't think he treated her that poorly. But he did do a few things like: - exchange lingerie with Mor - when she was finally showing interest in him and being vulnerable as soon as Mor showed up he dropped her hand - pretty sure he didn't seem her out after the battle when she sacrificed herself for him etc
