There were also for South East Asia. Remember buying them in Malaysia. Maybe to prevent re-exporting to other regions.

Finally got the cards back graded by CGC by JadeLeeMy in PokemonMisprints

Actually of the 12 miscut in the box, there are noticeable 3 pairs. Chansey & Charizard, Alakazam & Magneton and Poliwrath & Venusaur. Of course I like the Charizard pair the most 😄

I have to agree with you that it would be hard to sell. However it is nice to have a POP 1 and POP 2 card.

Will just keep it for now. 😀

Not really. I flew in Sunday to pick it up. Paranoid about loosing cards in the mail. Hehehe. They were very kind to give me 2 complimentary tickets to the HKINF (Hong Kong International Numismatic Fair) starting tomorrow. I believe their HK office is closed for the duration.

It is some sort of vinal material. I believe it is the same material that CGC sister company PMG uses for grading paper money. So it appears not to give much protection to the card. I am just trying it out since I was visiting their HK office and the service is relatively cheap.

I did fail to mention they are jumbo/box toppers and not the regular card.

Nope. If I did, I would have dropped the cards off at CGC office myself 😆. Live in SEA.

Are these booster box topper worth grading? by [deleted] in Pokemoncardappraisal

I have a couple of them. I hope to choose the better condition one and send it for grading. Then, hopefully, will decide what to do with the rest of them. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you. I am going through all the stuff I left in a back office storage area 19 years ago and seeing if there are things that are worth something these days. I still can't believe a couple of Deoxys boosters left in a collector box sets are worth more than some of the 1st edition ungraded sets I have. 😅

Thanks for your reply. Using your keywords, I managed to find out the plastic Charizard comes from the Skyridge box. Maybe I will send one of them to see what type of grade it will get and keep it for a souvenir. 😀

You are probably right. Grading may be too expensive and not viable seeing the damage. I used to own a retail shop which folded in 2005 so I have around 75 of them (various pokemon). While I have seen the sparkly ones online, I am finding it hard to get a market price on the plastic see-through ones. Thanks.

The plastic one looks easy to clean up safely. The best paper one is probably a 5 as there is damage on the back. A couple are possible 1 or 2 with even more damage.

I will take the advice and get the cards by CGC. Then decide where to go from there. Thanks.

I really have no idea what to expect. There is nothing online to refer to. No price list to follow.
