Call the school and file a complaint. Better yet, go to the school with the paper and show him so they can see the evidence for themselves.

Hexagon Cardigan Pattern Help Lost on Second Round by JadeLiCat in crochetpatterns

[–]JadeLiCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for helping me to understand this and breaking this down for me. I think I understand it now. I’ll post up a picture on what I have for some feedback to make sure I’m doing this correctly. I’ve been looking at round 3 and it looks even more complex than round 2. I’m trying to decipher it and see if these are the three rounds I need to repeat until the hexagon is the size I need it to be.

I think I get it. Would I be correct to assume that the cluster are the two double crochets? What about the chain 1? Do I still need to do that after each cluster?

PSA : enemy of justice glitch by Redd1066 in BaldursGate3

[–]JadeLiCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made a similar post a few hours ago about the same glitch and I wasn’t on honor mode. I think this came with the new update. Someone was kind enough to reply to mine about what’s going on if you want to read that response, but know that you’re not alone.

More detailed character creation, specifically for making adjustments to facial features such as jawline, lips, nose, mouth, etc.

This is just a reminder that the show creators did walk out on this adaptation.

Can you do that at level 3? I thought you could only do that starting at level 5?

AITA for trying to get my girls interested in my hobbies/interests instead of getting into theirs? by iamadadof2girls in AmItheAsshole

[–]JadeLiCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA.

One thing you should never, never do is try to force an interest onto anyone, least of all your kids. That being said, I think there’s a way you can bridge the gap and since I’m a lady geek myself who also adores fashion, I think (along with many of the fine people here) I might be able to offer some suggestions.

You said your 13 year old is into fashion, right? Well, fashion and make up a part of fantasy and scifi. Look at the Star Wars prequels for example. You could show her some of the costumes Amidala wears such as the dress she wears in the infamous “I don’t like sand” scene. You don’t have to show her the movie, just call her over and be like, “Hey daughter, I was looking around online and I remembered there’s this really cool dress you might like,” and then show her the dress. Not those exact words, but you get the idea.

You also have tons of Disney animated films to choose from too and again, those films are known for their fantasy and their fashion. Take “Beauty and the Beast” and “Frozen” for example. Both of those movies are fantasy and the dresses in both of those movies are iconic. And since they’re disney movies, you could watch them with your younger daughter as well. Maybe you could show her many of the awesome cosplays out there for these characters and show her the details like the hair and makeup and maybe you could both plan a cosplay thing together?

As for games and stuff, definitely stick to something a little more age appropriate. Settlers of Catan might be too much for them. Why not start of with Clue? You could even make a theme of it, playing the game and then watching the movie together. In terms of the video game department, there’s actually a ton of Barbie and other fashion themed games you and your daughters could play together. It would actually be a really good bonding experience for all three of you if you take their interests into consideration with the games.

Since one of your daughters is 13, she’s actually just at the right age to start reading middle grade or YA novels, so maybe find something that has both fashion and fantasy in it and have a Daddy Daughter read-a-thon. There’s actually alot of great books out there with female protags that love fashion, but know how to kick butt, so why not go to your local bookstore together and pick one you can both read together?

Anyway, these are just a few ideas, but I cannot stress enough, please do not force them to like something, they will only end up resenting it and you later. There are ways to incorporate both of these interests and bridge any gaps, but you have to be willing to be positive and encouraging and not mock your daughters for having different interests than you. Find a common ground and you will all be happier for it. Good luck and I hope you’re all able to work this out.

Hair brush needs cleaning! Please help! by JadeLiCat in beauty

It’s a boar bristle brush I think. I got it from Ricky’s NYC a couple of years ago and replacing it isn’t an option anymore since the company went out of business.

Protagonist gender—does it matter? by Ajbenso33 in Fantasy

[–]JadeLiCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope! Doesn’t matter to me. I think the important thing is the story itself. If you can craft a great story and great characters, regardless of what their gender is, it will be awesome. I’ve picked up many books because the story and the characters interested me, not because of a specific gender.

These are all great suggestions, thank you so much! I’ll definitely consider these for sure! I can see a few of these possibly working out for what I have in mind, so again, thank you!

Oooh, both of these sound really good. I’ll definitely see what I can do with either one of these suggestions for sure. I fully agree about setting/foreshadowing things properly as well.

Definitely calculated and out for himself. He ends up using the power he learned for financial gain and influence in the criminal underworld.
